memorial inscription in luddington church bibleThe village of Luddington is unusual in that neither the village itself or the Parish Church contains a physical memorial to the men from the village who lost their lives in the Great War.

There is however a memorial inscription in the Bible in St Oswald’s Church that records the names of nine men from the Parish who lost their lives in the war. The inscription is ecumenical as at least two of the men were Roman Catholics.
